i really can't afford to re-install now though, but i'll keep that around on a CD just in case
have way too many programs & things i need that would be hard to find again, i'll just stick with SP-2 i guess

, as I said u need to uninstall XP SP3 and then patch it via SP2. Once you got it patched it will work on SP3

Service Pack 3 Doesnt accept WGA Patcher. So you need to go back to SP2 and try running agin
If fails you can download this version of Windows XP SP2 Pro:

It works perfectly, once you tested it you can move to SP3 with no issues
